Fundraising

Background

As you will know Emma has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

She has been receiving lots of help from various organisations. It’s time for me to give something back.

I am going to undertake three sponsored events in the coming months, I would appreciate if you could choose whatever event/organisation you prefer and provide a donation. I have set up a Just Giving page for each of the charities. I have done this for two reasons: 1, you can easily see how much is being raised. 2, they will automatically reclaim Gift Aid so your donation goes that little bit further.

If you would like to join us at any of the events, get in touch and I’ll add your name to the relevant Just Giving page, NOTE you will have to register yourself for the relevant event.

I have just done the maths, that’s 23 miles in the space of 4 weeks. Bear in mind that I’m currently 116kg (256lb or 18st 4lb) and do nothing more than take the dog Demi for the occasional walk: give me some motivation to start the training!

  1. Nice blog, thanks to share this great information about fundraising. I am also using continuetogive for online fundraising and online donations for charities. It’s really a great feeling with children. Please keep writing about more fundraising ideas.
