Not my first choice in holiday. My father in law took unwell so we had to fly out at short notice to be with them.
The care received in the hospital was excellent, very friendly and very professional.
Didn’t do a lot of the normal “holiday” stuff but of course I had my camera with me so you can see my Benidorm Photos on Flickr.
It felt really weird, half of the population was half my age, the other half were twice my age !
It was also way too hot for me, over 35degrees most days, there was even one evening when it was sitting at 30degrees at midnight; not pleasant.
Everyone is home now and slowly improving, except for me, back at work and slowly going mad, so back to normal it is !
Check out today’s Daily Record pages 30 and 31.
Alternatively you can read it here.
I’m not usually one for shouting about software, but I have just installed the PicLens addin for Firefox.
This addin allows you to view all of the images on a web page in a full screen browser with slideshow functionality.
Great for Flickr junkies like me !
I’m not sure that I “beleive” in the whole Web 2.0 social everything hype; but I’m not shy to try things.
I’m currently investigating FaceBook and Twitter.
If everything goes to plan then creating this page should appear in my Twitter.
Here Goes !

I recently had the pleasure of a trip to the local casualty unit. (Only took 2 1/2 hours so a flying visit)
Previously I’ve been amused, as a non smoker, at the folks at the front door smoking.
This time I could hardly get into the building.
The front door hoards now have two competing factions, each as large as each other and both feverishly feeding their insatiable addictions.
The “older” crowds puffing away on their cigarettes.
The “younger” crowds texting away like crazy.
The funny thing is that; despite the fact that these people are obviously ill, they are willing to stand outside in their pajamas in horizontal rain to feed their respective addictions.
For some reason, one of the posts on here is attracting some spam comments.
I’m fiddling with the settings slightly to try and block them with the least impact, not that there are a lot of “valid” comments so far !
The fantastic folks at the Make A Wish Foundation arranged for us to accompany Emma on a shopping trip to London.
We had a flight on the London Eye, a days shopping and then a trip to the Tower Of London, luckily they let us out !
A big thank you also to Jamie Owens from London Taxi who looked after us all day whilst we were shopping and had to listen to us raving about how fantastic the Lion King show was !
Well her birthday is not until Wednesday but there was a surprise party last night.
The hall was full and there were loads of surprises: Fireworks, Stripper and an excellent rendition by her cousin Danielle.
Photos can be seen here:
What a difference.
Yet again I’m blown away by how quickly the extension is progressing:

As I type, the roofers are crawling over the top and the electrician is crawling under the floor !
